What are your goals for 2021? I'd like to hear from you.

Courtney Ley

This year I’ve been lucky enough to see so many of my clients, make huge steps towards achieving their goals.

Some have even achieved what they set out to do.

So, what’s next?

Always write down your goals...it makes it easier to progress them.

It’s now coming up to that time of year, we start to think about what’s in store for us, next year.

I know what you’re thinking…”it’s way too early to be thinking about next year!”

But, it’s really not! Now is the perfect time.

It all starts with thinking about all you’ve achieved this year. Yes, to look forward it’s always a great idea to stop and give yourself a pat on the back.

Celebrate what you’ve overcome this year. You may not have reached your goal but think about what progress towards, those goals you’ve made.

Now we can look at next year.

Often people ask me; “Do my goals next year need to be the same?"

The short answer is no! Remember goals evolve as you do.

This is exactly why it’s important to sit down and review them.

Some people decide to continue the same path, aiming for the same goals.

Others get very close to their goal, but decide to shift their focus. But most importantly - changing your goals is not giving up!

It may just be a change in priorities.

It may be that you have thought of a bigger goal.

Maybe your original goal just wasn’t motivating you anymore.

This happens a lot.

Often during the process, you realise you want more than you originally thought. I know I’ve gone through this.

It’s never a bad thing. Going backwards, quitting, these are bad things.

Changing your goals is normal.

Being determined to keep the same goal until you achieve it is also normal.

At the end of the day as long as you have a goal, then is so important to you, you’ll let nothing stand in your way. That is the aim.

So, use this time before the end of the year to look back. Celebrate what you’ve achieved this year.

And start to think about your goals for next year.

I’m looking forward to hearing what they are :)
